| I've been taking photos most of my life, concentrating on black-and-white film photography. I develop and print my own photos, but I also take a lot of digital photos in colour and black and white. I believe nothing can replace the quality and detail of an optical photographic print. Yet. I have entirely stopped getting colour negs printed (they are all printed digitally here now), and I believe this era will be known as the "crap photo print" era of history. So, I am distributing all my digital photos freely, so that people can view them on digital media, and maybe print them in 20 years when the technology catches up! I use only natural light, and I try to avoid fancy effects. The world is astounding just as it is, I think. |
